Seems so funny saying it feels good to be in the 80's! but it sure beats 105 or hotter. It has looked more like August than June. Grass is brown, fields that aren't irrigated are dying, I even saw a couple maple trees yesterday that at the very top they are turning their fall colors all ready. We really could use some rain and they aren't forecasting any in the near future.

In 2 more days we find out the sex of my Grandchild. I am so excited. Truth be told I am hoping for a little girl but will be very happy with a little boy too! Carmen at one time wanted a little boy first, but now I think she is just wanting a healthy baby. I am kind of nervous being that she had surgery before she knew she was pregnant. Was on steroids and pain meds, but the doctors seem to think there won't be any problems. So we will see Wednesday at the ultrasound.

Carmen is doing a little better emotionally the last 2 weeks. I believe its because she is finally standing up for herself and not being a doormat to her ex-boyfriend. She has finally blocked him on face book. I don't understand the younger generation why they think they need to put every single thing they think and feel on face book and why do they feel they have to remain close friends with their ex boyfriends. In Carmen's case I do understand she needs to be civil because there is a child involved but come on lets be real, how many of us can say we remained good friends with our ex-boyfriends and or ex-husbands or wives.?

My emotions are also all over the place at times. Learning to take one day at a time and count my blessings as I go.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-24779928147965719802012-06-28T11:11:00.001-07:002012-06-28T11:11:32.025-07:00So much has happened since my last blogging session. In March my daughter who is 23 called me at 630 in the morning waking me up from a wonderful nights sleep. She crying Mom its terrible! Me: What? what is going on. Pj and I have broke up and I am pregnant! What a way to wake up!

Since that call, carmen has moved home with us and it has been mostly termoil between her and Pj. So are home life feels like it is on a crasy roller coaster! I would not have it any other way of her moving home, but so wish she would only have contact with him on issues of the baby. She does really good emotionaly then he does or says something to upset the whole applecart again.

It breaks my heart to see my baby going through all this. But I also think it is now time for her to take a stand and tell him thats it and no more contact and mean it.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-77006064715613022152012-01-05T16:41:00.000-08:002012-01-05T16:49:07.632-08:00Happy New Year 2012!So alot has taken place since my last post.

I am still working out of my home, but I am now loving it! It took me a while to get used to being at home everyday.
I even tried working at Menards for 2wks and hated that.

I am currently working at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, every other Friday I work at The Muscle Therapy and Acupuncture Center in White Pigeon, Mi. Monday an Wednesday mornings I volunteer at our Elementary school. I am in three different classrooms for a 30min period. Second grade, 4th grade and first grade. I listen to them read, help with sight words and whatever else the teachers need me to do. I love it and the kids are awesome!

This is the first time in a long long time that I feel like my life is in Balance.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-13022569392870663652011-04-22T05:04:00.000-07:002011-04-22T05:09:14.140-07:00So here we are April 22nd, 2011. I am really struggling with working at home!

I miss being with people. The interaction, sharing of problems, laughing at jokes etc. At times it gets very lonely at home.
I find myself watching my husband go off to work and my daughters heading out on their daily adventure..be it work or out with friends and I catch myself being jealous.

I have decided to send out some resumes to Chiropractic offices and see if I could do massages part time. Until I hear anything I have to pray that God will give me peace with where I am in my life at this time.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-76546174324838384012011-03-31T10:12:00.000-07:002011-03-31T10:17:18.562-07:00Well I have been working at home for almost 4 months.

I do love it, but it has taken some getting used to. Being at home 7 days a week made me a little stir crazy at the start especially with the snow.

I have now started walking every morning between 530 and 630 am with my dog maggi. She is loving it..We started with walking about 8blocks and finding out how bad of shape I really am in.
We have worked our way up to 1 mile now.
I also figured out that I have to have a normal routine everyday. I now have started my spring cleaning in between clients.

Another plus I am starting to get busier, I am now averaging 3 clients a day sometimes 4 which is good being that I only do 5 hrs worth of massages a day.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-68204055013290862412011-01-11T08:24:00.000-08:002011-01-11T08:26:13.359-08:00Well I started a new adventure in January. I gave notice at the clinic in October and I started working out of my home January 3, 2011.

It took some getting used to the first week. But now I am loving it!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-16837284988868020692010-06-19T18:49:00.000-07:002010-06-19T19:00:22.791-07:00Well 2 weeks sure can fly by quickly!

We arrived back home from Alaska around midnight last night!

I have decided if I can ever arrange it I want to move to Alaska! Jerry and I had such an awesome time!
We flew into Anchorage...then very early the next morning we took the train to Seward. That ended up being one of our favorite towns. Its a beautiful town on Resurrection Bay. I found a wonderful restaurant there called Chinook's! We always picked a window seat looking out at the Harbor!
Awesome fresh seafood!
We also went to Telkeetna/ this is the town that the TV show Northern Exposure was based on. It is a very unique little town just like the tv show! We loved it! We stayed at the Talkeetna Lodge, and the view from our room was of Mt. McKinley. So beautiful.
Went to Denali, and Denali National Park saw a lot of wildlife. Moose, grizzlies, Dall Sheep, a wolf, caribou and many many Eagles.
Went to Fairbanks and panned for gold. We did pretty good! Ate in some amazing resturants.
Also visited Whittier. Went on a cruise to see a glacier. Stayed in the Whittier Inn. very nice.

I will try and have pics up soon! Trying to edit them now.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-30606641868658888182010-06-03T18:18:00.000-07:002010-06-03T18:19:01.394-07:00Saturday is never going to get here!!!!!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-46529608906385769902010-06-02T13:18:00.000-07:002010-06-02T13:20:39.462-07:00Well I can hardly believe it but in 3 days Jerry and I will be in Alaska!!

I work a full day tomorrow and then on friday I work until noon. We leave at 4pm for Kalamazoo, we are spending the night with my Brother and sister-law, then they will take us to the airport Saturday at 6 am.

I am really excited and a little nervous!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-10458550827351527342010-05-26T16:47:00.000-07:002010-05-26T16:53:37.403-07:00Well today I spent the morning doing a little grocery shopping, buying plants for my garden and also some flowers.
I picked up a few odds and ends that we were going to be needing on our trip. Small size( I guess they are called travel size) hair spray, lotion etc.
Started some of my packing. I can't believe we are just about to our travel time!

So when I returned home I planted my small garden, also planted my flowers in their pots. Did some yard work then went inside to start there.

I love having a day off and then being able to actually be at home!

Oh Tenley and I did run to the dr's this am...She had to get a monitor for tonight when she sleeps. They are pretty sure she has sleep apnea. But with her having Down syndrome they don't want to make her sleep at the clinic if at all possible. It would freak her out to much.

So now I am supposed to be paying bills, but instead I am on the computer!

Well I had better go !peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-49473542845336136942010-05-14T16:29:00.000-07:002010-05-14T16:35:43.596-07:00This afternoon I was treated to a pedicure by Carmen for my mothers day gift. It was so much fun. She had one also! It was her first. This was a major step for her! Her feet are so ticklish that she never wants anyone to touch them!
I teased her that she was a big girl today! Even though she is 21! The massaging of the feet and when they buffed off the dry/dead skin she was squirming in her chair!
I treasure these wonderful times together!
Tenley even decided to go along so she could see what they do. But we couldn't get her to even try it, not even a manicure! She just tucked her hands under her lap and pulled her feet under her chair! She had us laughing also. But she did get alittle bored.
I love these girl times! Since my girls have lives of their own I don't get to spend( or I should say we ) don't get enough of these special times!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-21446686381179758652010-05-09T15:10:00.000-07:002010-05-09T15:15:54.842-07:00Well today was Mothers Day! It has been a wonderful day. Was able to sleep in a little bit!

Our Pastor had a wonderful sermon.
Came home and Jerry and Tenley fixed lunch! Jerry grilled steak and chicken. He also made a wonderful huge salad. Tenley set the table, then they both cleaned up after.
Carmen had to work the breakfast and lunch shift at subway, so she wasn't able to be here for lunch.
Jerry is now grilling his famous Chicken wings!
I was able to get alittle of my scrapbooking done and watched some chickflicks by myself!
I love Mothers Day!
But I do have to admit, I sure miss those Mothers Days where the girls would pick me a big bunch of whatever flowers were growing in the yard! They were always so proud, because they did it all by themselves! Those are some of the memories a Mother never forgets!
I hope all my wonderful female friends and family had a wonderful Mothers Day also!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-39156572712040089232010-04-09T17:47:00.000-07:002010-04-09T17:51:48.067-07:00Well I am starting my official count down! On June 5Th Jerry and I will embark on our first trip to Alaska!
We celebrate our 25Th ann. May 23rd. So we are taking a delayed 2 wk trip to Alaska! We can hardly wait. We are not doing the Alaska Cruise. We will fly into Alaska then embark on a 10 day train trip! Each day you go to a new location, do something exciting( 5hr day cruise to watch the whales, see the glaciers, pan for gold etc.) then we stay each night in a different lodge. The last two days we are there we won't be on the train anymore. We will be able to just explore!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-41328086823320916392010-03-30T18:31:00.000-07:002010-03-30T18:34:07.025-07:00Could someone please explain to me why when someone says they cant or don't want to help in something, they then take over when someone else has agreed to do it!

It is very maddening! If you don't want to do it than leave it alone and trust that the person will do a good job and is capable of handling it!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-69211626182581391352010-03-26T18:36:00.000-07:002010-03-26T18:49:12.834-07:00Here are some cute little stories of my great nephew Caleb who just turned 4 told by his Grandma, my sister Kim:

Caleb attends gymnastic class once a week. Caleb likes to take off his shoes and socks while he is there and Tara( his mom) doesnt like him going around there barefooted so she is always telling him No. At class this last week Caleb was at a station that his mom could not see him real well but could see that his instructor was really talking to him..She then saw Caleb had his hands down the front of his shorts up to his elbows and was just a digging. He pulled them out and had his socks in his hands. The instructor asked him "why he put his socks in his underware?" and h e replied with "Well, I have no pockets!"

This past weekend Tara, her mom and Caleb went to Indy for a wedding. One of Tara's cousins was getting married and so they stayed the night at the Hilton downtown. Anyway, they were all at the reception hall waiting on the MC to announce the wedding party while all the little ones sat around the outter edges of the dancefloor. Tara wasn't paying that much attention to Caleb because he was with his cousins and she was talking.,when she saw cameras flashing and laughter. She turned around to see Caleb setting out in the middle of the dance floor with his shoes and socks off chewing on his toes. She about died, ran out grabbed him while the whole time he was yelling"What! What!"

I love little kids stories. They can make me smile no matter what kind of day I have had!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-91224929908097672522010-03-23T18:09:00.000-07:002010-03-23T18:25:18.353-07:00Wow I can't believe it has been over a year since I have been on my own blog.

Lots of things have taken place over the past year.
Starting last spring we built our long awaited garage(20 yrs of waiting). It is so rewarding watching my husband spend time in there.
On one half he built his woodshop...he loves working with wood, but has never had a place to do it. Now he has the place and I have all kinds of projects I would love for him to make!
That took about 5 months to finish. We had lots of help from my wonderful brother Mark and his wife Diane! we couldn't have gotten it done without them.
After the garage was completed we finished landscaping. Now I am awaiting spring to see all the new lovely plants and flowers!
With the economy being as it is my work slowed way down, it is showing a glimmer of growing now!

With a lot of prayer and research I am now studying massage for cancer patients. It has been a long difficult at times decision for me. See I get attached to each one of my clients and to loose one of them I always thought that was just more than I could deal with. But God had other plans! He introduced a man to me who had 4 types of terminal Cancer. He came for his first massage a little unsure. He was mainly coming for his wife. When he returned for his second massage he shared with me how well he had slept, which he was having difficulty sleeping. But what moved me most was when he shared how wonderful it was to be touched with warm and caring hands. I asked him to share with me what he meant. He said it was very rare anymore to feel good when someone was touching him! ( Drawing bld, all his tests, cemo etc.) It was at that moment I realized it wasn't about me anymore! It was about using the gift God has given me to give comfort to others. He was able to come for a couple more massages and he shared things with me that made me feel good and I felt that at times I was getting more from his massages than he was!
He soon passed away after his last massage and yes it broke my heart! But I now know another direction that God is gently guiding me into with my massage! God is good all the time and all the time God is good!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-61707230281804579352009-03-22T10:37:00.000-07:002009-03-22T10:42:16.517-07:00Migraines...how I hate them. I haven't had any bad ones for a couple of years. Until last Saturday. Luckily Dr. B was still working so Jerry called and took me in. She adjusted my neck and it helped my headache alot. Then that Wednesday I got a sinus infection. Then yesterday again had a terrible migraine!!! I was down and out for the day!
Today I just feel like I have been run over by a big truck. I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and get adjusted. I think I am going to skip Saturday's from now on!peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-63629228264922641602009-01-31T18:47:00.000-08:002009-01-31T18:54:44.388-08:00The basketball game was alot of fun. It has been a long time since I have went to a basketball game. Tanner's team won. They didn't play so good the first quarter, but they pulled it together in the remaining 3 quarters.
After the game we went back to Rich and Kerri's. Ate snacks and set around talking until the meal was ready. We had awesome chicken and beef tacos. Kerri out did herself with all the food she fixed. Plus she surprised me with an early birthday celebration. She made a chocolate cake, and had 3 types of ice cream. I loved every minute of it. Thanks so much!!!!! Kerri. Love you bunches! for being so thoughtful.
Pete and Shirley also surprised me with a gift card to Michael's, which I will put to use right away!!! I haven't been with Pete and Shirley on my Birthday since they retired and moved away. Family time is so wonderful. I feel so Blessed and so Loved! You all are so wonderful.
Back to reality, coming home from Kalamazoo, the wind has picked up and state road 13 is drifting. Will probably be one lane by morning. Church will be a wait and see thing.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-89715337017972381462009-01-31T09:02:00.000-08:002009-01-31T09:11:15.449-08:00Well I am getting ready to head to Kalamazoo to watch Tanners Basketball game. This is the first one we have been able to make it to this year. Pete and Shirley are picking us up and after the game we are going to hang out at Rich and Kerri's. Looking forward to a lot of fun.
Carter wants Uncle Jerry to bring his Wii game Blazing Angles. He loves it! It is so much fun to watch him get so wrapped up in it.
I have also started something new. Carmen and my sister in-laws thought I needed to be on facebook, so I am trying it. So far it has been really fun. I have been able to be in contact with a friend who is stationed in Iraq. I also found some of my high school friends that I haven't talked to in a while. Now we leave messages for each other quite often.
Technology! It is crazy to see where we are now compared to when I was growing up. As Carmen points out...the ancient days! LOL she will be there before she knows it.

It is still cold and snowy. But it is supposed to warm up to I think 33 today. But that will feel great after being in the negatives for so long. Yesterday morning our schools had a 2 hour delay because the roads were so icy. But spring isn't to far away, since tomorrow is the first day of February.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-55144532715249596132009-01-25T13:25:00.000-08:002009-01-25T13:37:29.316-08:00It has been a while since I have written. The last two weeks have been full. Two weeks ago we lost Jerry's Uncle Clete. He will be missed a great deal. So the week of his funeral we were coming and going and not really knowing which end was up. Jerry had to pick his sister up at the airport, she was flying in for the funeral. Needless to say she didn't like our artic weather we were having. She is from Virginia. Two days we had Jerry's family over in the evening for a meal and it was wonderful to sit around and catch up with everyone. Jerry's parents came up from Florida and are staying to help Aunt Cheryl in any way she needs. She is a very strong and wonderful lady. We love her bunches!!
The Monday after the funeral, Jerry again headed out. This time to Buffalo New York. He said the drive wasn't bad. He got home very early Friday morning. It was wonderful to have him back home. But the girls and I had some time alone which was also very nice. He thinks he is done traveling now until next January. Will see.
Saturday night we had Pete and Shirley over for a big pot of Homemade Beef and noodles. The beef was from a steer my brother Mark raised. I canned 25 quarts of stew meat. It makes the best beef and noodles. We also had a nice salad and then set around and talked some more. January 29th we are going to Kalamazoo to watch my nephew Tanner play basketball. We are all looking forward to that.
Today is catch up day! Went to church, had leftovers for lunch, took a small nap, one of Carmens friends stopped in and talked with us for a while, paid some bills and now waiting for Carmen to come home.
She won tickets for Skiing at Timberridge. She has never skied in her life! LOL So I can't wait to see the pictures and hear her stories. She is beginning to be quite the story teller like her dad.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-71869252728865724702009-01-08T17:03:00.000-08:002009-01-08T17:20:58.182-08:00Well yesterday was a day full of all kind of adventures. Wednesday's are my days off. So I got to sleep in. Which was much needed, being I didn't get much sleep the night before. But I was up by 7:30 which like I said was sleeping in. Our furnace was acting up so we called and they said someone would be to our house between 9:00am and 11:00 am, I just love it when they can give you a specific time! But they showed up at 9:30 and finally figured out the problem now the furnace would start right away again. January in Northern Indiana is not the time to be having furnace issues! We even had it serviced in October.
Then Tenley gets up and isn't feeling well. She has the sinus cold and sore throat that I had the week on Christmas, and Carmen started with it 3 days ago. Carmen today was well enough that she went to work.
So the rest of the day was spent taking care of the girls, do laundry, house work and taking down all the Christmas decorations.
I even had time in the morning to put some homemade turkey and noodle soup together and put it in my crock pot for our supper that night!
After eating I decided to put the left over soup in containers so we could have them for our lunches, I needed to let them cool a little before putting the lids on them. So I walked to the living room to shut the drapes and I hear this strange noise coming from the Kitchen, I turn to see Maggi(my boxer) standing on her hind legs and pulling one of the containers off the counter and it dumps all over the kitchen floor. Needless to say I was furious, I know this is dumb but we have carpet in our kitchen! I spent and hour cleaning up. I couldn't believe Maggi did this, we have had her for 10 years and this only the second time she has ever done this. Well I let her know how mad I was, she ran and hid under our dinning room table. We did make up later in the evening.
Plus Jerry left at 7:00am for Wisconsin and won't be home until Saturday. So I am taking care of some of the stuff he normally takes care of. I can honestly say I don't know how single parents do this.
But I ended the day on a happy note, Jerry called and we were able to talk for a while and then I crawled into my nice warm bed for a short sleep before starting my day all over.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-73232376550563236542008-12-28T17:01:00.000-08:002008-12-28T17:10:16.916-08:00Well we had our last Christmas get together for 2008. Kerri, Rich , Tanner and Carter came today to have lunch and just hangout together.
The boys got the Wii for Christmas and brought there games to our house to play on our Wii. We all had so much fun. Jerry has the game"Blazing Angles". World War II planes and air battles. Carter wanted to beat uncle Jerry really bad, but I don't believe he did. He did beat him in some of the other games.
Carmen and Tanner had quite the competition going on some of the Wii play games. She beat him on everything, but he had his best score their last game of the shooting game. I played Jerry in racing cows, oh my gosh I did so bad, I was picking off the trees(not supposed to they aren't on the race track!) and not so many of the scarecrows and other items that you are supposed to hit. He beat the pants off of me! I guess I am going to have to practice a lot before playing him again.
We really need to get together more than just holidays. We really enjoyed the day.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-89862768666321770162008-12-26T16:39:00.000-08:002008-12-26T16:41:26.162-08:00A very special ChristmasThe Sunday before Christmas was a very special day for our family. We had Christmas with Tori and her son Kory(who is our Godson). We had so much fun that day. Kory loved playing on the tredmill and making a fort out of the cushions. They were able to spend the whole day with us. Kory will be three in April.peaceful touchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13206329747306853586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908873555442811641.post-90722224329690413762008-12-26T16:29:00.000-08:002008-12-26T16:38:20.933-08:00A very special Christmas<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;
